AARP Ohio, a branch of the national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Americans 50 and older, has taken an innovative approach to raising awareness about fraud and protecting seniors with the ‘Kick Out Fraud Giveaway’ just outside the Columbus Crew pro soccer game.
Building on the theme of soccer, the campaign encourages seniors to ‘kick out’ fraud from their lives, an analogy that ties together the fun of sports with the serious matter of fraud prevention. In line with the theme, the nonprofit organization invited the public to a game of Sit-Down Soccer. A novel concept, sit-down soccer brings a new, inclusive perspective to the traditional game. It captures the essence of soccer without the physical strains that often accompany the sport, making it a perfect tie-in for AARP’s focus on older adults.
The area was brilliantly decorated with sit-down soccer gear completely wrapped in AARP’s distinct white and red branding, creating a vibrant and unmistakable environment. Attendees enjoyed the innovative concept of sit-down soccer while raising awareness about the ongoing fight against fraud. This brilliant combination turned the event into a meaningful gathering that engaged people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
