Trivia Touchdown: Inside the Broncos Game Show Experience

September 25, 2023

The buzz was electric as the lights dimmed at Empower Field, traditionally a cathedral of football but transformed into a spectacular game show set. But this wasn’t just any game show; this was the inaugural “Broncos Game Show,” a TV spectacle that combined the raw energy of a Denver Broncos home game with the nail-biting excitement of trivia competition. This trivia experience was made possible by Interactive Entertainment Group‘s Game Show Mania, a masterpiece of technology and stagecraft.

The Teams: A Roster of Legends

Team SB50 and Team Back to Back, featuring former Denver Broncos players, faced off in a five-round duel. With the likes of Ed McCaffry, Tom Rowan, and Rod Smith representing Team Back to Back, the evening was a heartfelt tribute to the 25th anniversary of the Broncos’ second Super Bowl win in the 1998 season.

Representing a more recent era, Team SB50 featured David Bruton, Ryan Harris, and Tyler Columbus, athletes who’ve experienced the thrill of the Broncos’ third championship win a couple of decades later.

Going Beyond a Regular TV Broadcast

Hosted on one of Denver’s local channels, KUSA, the experience was made unforgettable by Broncos in-stadium PA announcer Conor McGahey, who guided the competition with finesse and just the right amount of humor. Our six custom podiums and advanced scoring system not only added a touch of elegance but ensured a seamless flow. Keeping things spicy, each of the five rounds concluded with a pop culture pop quiz, proving that our gridiron heroes know more than just X’s and O’s.

The Crowd’s Role: The Ultimate Home-Field Advantage

The studio audience, consisting of select season ticket holders, Broncos Cheerleaders, and their ever-energetic mascot, contributed to the ambiance, making it not just another game show but an event that enhances the Denver Broncos brand in a unique way.

The Real Winner: The Broncos Legacy

Though Team Back to Back emerged as the champion, earning well-deserved bragging rights, the real winner was the enduring legacy of the Denver Broncos. As a source for corporate entertainment, we understand the value of creating experiences that don’t just entertain but elevate brands. With “Broncos Game Show,” not only did we celebrate history and camaraderie, but we also added a fresh chapter to the Broncos’ illustrious story.
