But then again, #NACALive2024 wasn’t your everyday conference. The National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) is the beating heart of campus engagement and entertainment, bringing together the brightest minds in college event planning and entertainment. It’s where creativity meets campus, a yearly conclave that sets the tone for college entertainment nationwide.
This year, Interactive Entertainment Group decided to level up, transforming our presence into an epicenter of joy, creativity, and our Soundtrack Sweepstakes for a pair of Airpods Max (keep reading to reveal the lucky winner). With not one, but two booths packed to the brim with interactive experiences, we turned the event floor into our personal playground, and let’s just say, we played to win.
The star of our 10×20 booth, our iconic Prize Crane, was back with a vengeance. Custom-branded to showcase our flair, it dangled the dreams of Dunkin’ gift cards, stress balls, and even slime within reach. But the crown jewel? A $100 Amazon Gift Card that sent Tregan, an Alabama student graduating in 2026, on a victory lap so epic, it was as if he’d won the college lottery before realizing his prize. That, my friends, is the pure, unadulterated joy we live for.
Over at Robo Sketch, we witnessed technology turning selfies into “sketchies.” With a quartet of robot arms whirring away, students had their likenesses transformed onto cards like #NoFilter, #SketchySelfie, and #SketchesForDays. These mini-masterpieces became the coolest conference badges ever, proving that in a world of filters, a sketch is worth a thousand likes.
Mirrors met masterpieces in a dazzling dance of doodles and digital delights. Our Mirror Photo Booth was not just a hit; it was a sensation, inviting students to embellish their selfies with cheeky stickers and phrases that screamed “rizz,” “slay,” and “young boss.” It was a testament to the fact that even in the age of Instagram, nothing beats seeing your bedazzled reflection in real-time.
Our second booth, a sprawling 20×20 space, was a digital dream come true for sports aficionados. The Real Sports Arena brought the stadium to the students, offering a gamified glory that had them pitching, shooting, and scoring in the virtual fields of their university stadiums. From the University of Michigan’s football fields to UConn’s basketball courts, we made MVP dreams a playable reality, complete with a cheering digital crowd.
What’s an epic event without an equally epic soundtrack? Our Soundtrack Sweepstakes hit a high note, with attendees dropping their go-to study tracks for a shot at winning AirPods Max. The winner, Devin from Virginia State University, brought home the prize with a gospel track, Awesome by Charles Jenkins, that had us all feeling a little more awesome. With entries ranging from Taylor Swift to the adrenaline-pumping beats of Mario Kart and the chill vibes of Lofi Music, our playlist was as diverse and vibrant as NACA Live itself.
