When Triple Threat Communications approached us to bring a little heat to their latest internal activation for AstraZeneca, we stepped up to the mound. The brief? Deliver a baseball-inspired moment that educates and engages—without losing velocity. The result: a custom-branded Speed Pitch experience set up outside the Wilmington, DE headquarters, tailored for the AstraZeneca team.

Pitching with a Purpose

The activation centered around AstraZeneca’s work in hyperkalemia—a condition marked by elevated potassium levels in the blood. Their treatment, Lokelma, helps bring potassium levels back into balance, particularly in patients with chronic kidney disease or heart failure.

To bring that message home, we crafted a baseball backdrop featuring a branded stadium, complete with the AstraZeneca logo and a power hitter in a custom K+ uniform. The player’s jersey? “H. Potassium.” The tagline? Strikeout High Potassium.

This wasn’t just clever wordplay—it was strategic storytelling, grounded in science and served at 80 mph.

Location, Location, Activation

The outdoor setup was located just steps from AstraZeneca’s café—right at the heart of their North American Commercial Business operations in Wilmington. This gave employees an energizing break with purpose, connecting their day-to-day work to the impact of their science in an interactive, unforgettable way.

Fast, Fun, and Fully Branded

From the themed stadium visuals to the K+ narrative, every detail of the experience was calibrated for both fun and function. Guests tested their throwing arm while absorbing the message—without needing a PowerPoint to get the point.
