Thousands of event professionals flocked to The Venetian Resort Las Vegas this week for Connect Spring Marketplace, an annual convention designed to spark new business opportunities and industry inspiration. Beyond the event’s one-on-one networking appointments to top-notch education sessions, the convention also featured a vibrant trade show floor filled with nearly 200 exhibitors competing for attendees’ attention.
As attendees flowed onto the trade show floor, our 10×20 booth experience was impossible to miss. From our Social Media Vending Machine to our Urban Hoops basketball game, our booth was designed to get attendees excited about how they can incorporate our experiences into their own events. Both experiences featured branded wrapping and software, showcasing how attendees could customize each of our products to suit their own brand, client or sponsor.
As attendees approached our booth, they were prompted to step up to our interactive vending machine and scan a QR code with their mobile device. This QR code took them to a custom form where they would enter their contact information along with valuable data regarding the kinds of events they produce and the kind of attributes they look for in a vendor. Once the form was submitted, they received a unique code which they entered on the vending machine’s touch screen, triggering the machine to dispense a prize. Not only did the machine feature Dunkin gift cards and color changing “mood” stress balls in our signature purple and pink, but their form submission also entered them into a drawing for a $250 Amazon gift card.
For part two of our experience, attendees battled it out in our four player basketball game for the chance to rank on our leaderboard. With just one minute per game, attendees has little room for error as they played for the most hoops scored. As an extra incentive to check back at our leaderboard, top players each day were rewarded with a $100 Amazon gift card.
