If you’re a sneaker-head, you know the significance of March 26th: Nike AirMax Day.
For those unfamiliar with the holiday, the day marks the anniversary of the Air Max 1’s debut back in 1987. For generations, Nike has continued to add new silhouettes to the AirMax family, inspiring countless moments in the sneaker industry.
To celebrate the milestone this past weekend, Nike teamed up with retailer SNIPES to host a Maxxed Out event in Brooklyn. The anticipated event was infused with culture, music, art and live performances. Not only did the event honor the rich history of the sneaker, but it also served as an opportunity for new inspiration as high school students shared their upcycled designs for a fashion show onsite.
Taking things to the max, SNIPES partnered with us to create an iridescent activation zone tying into the event aesthetic. Inside, guests were encouraged to try out a MAXXED OUT photo booth experience for capturing the memory and sharing on socials.
