Some new team members arrive with a laptop. Ours arrived with a 22-inch head.
Meet Iggy, the newest member of the Interactive Entertainment Group family and our newly appointed Chief Interaction Officer. He’s bright, hard to miss and bears a pretty strong resemblance to a logo we know well. That part was intentional.
From Logo to Larger Than Life
Iggy started with a simple idea: take something people already associate with IEG and give it a little more personality.
Our logo has been with us through thousands of events, brand activations, trade shows and plenty of ideas that sounded ambitious until our team figured out how to make them happen. Now, it has officially grown arms, legs and a personality of its own.
His name is a nod to IEG, but Iggy was never meant to feel like a logo walking around on two feet. He’s part of the team. And like everyone else here, he has a job to do.
As Chief Interaction Officer, Iggy’s responsibilities are pretty straightforward: work the room, meet new people, get attendees interacting and make every activation a little harder to walk past.
We think he’s qualified.
A Natural Fit for IEG
Interaction has always been at the center of what we do.
The best experiences give people a reason to stop, participate, compete, laugh, take a photo or start a conversation. Sometimes that comes from technology. Sometimes it comes from something completely unexpected in the middle of a show floor. And sometimes it comes from a giant pink-and-purple character walking straight toward you.
Iggy gives the IEG brand another way to show up in the room. He’s playful, recognizable and built around the same thing we think about when creating experiences for our clients: how do you get someone curious enough to stop?
From there, the interaction takes over.
First Assignment: Connect Marketplace
Iggy isn’t getting much time to settle into the new role.
Later this month, he’ll make his first public debut at Connect Marketplace in Tampa, taking place August 24–26.
It feels like the right place for his first day on the job. Connect brings together professionals from across the meetings and events industry, which means Iggy will be surrounded by people who understand just how much that first moment of attention matters.
Expect to see him roaming the show floor, meeting planners, posing for photos and getting some real-world experience in his new role.
For a new hire, he’s already pretty comfortable with networking.
Welcome to the Family, Iggy
IEG has changed a lot over the years. The technology has evolved, the experiences have gotten bigger and the ways brands can interact with their audiences keep expanding.
What has stayed consistent is the personality behind the work. Iggy gives that personality a face. Sort of.
He’s a little unexpected, unmistakably IEG and built to get people interacting. Which makes Chief Interaction Officer a pretty fitting title.
Welcome to the team, Iggy. Your first assignment starts in Tampa.
