If there is anything the pandemic has shown us, it’s that hybrid and remote work are here to stay. So why has Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) just spent the past two years on its new Houston headquarters? Well, it’s not what you would think. Unlike a traditional office space, HPE’s new headquarters was designed with the next generation in mind. The space is designed more like a campus, empowering team members to experience the benefits of a hybrid Edge-to-Office work model. To celebrate its grand opening, HPE hosted an event featuring a variety of immersive experiences tied to its partners and future initiatives. Keep reading for a glimpse into the event.
If you’re not familiar with the world of racing, Formula 1 is known as the world’s most prestigious motor racing competition. This day in age, data is the key to maximizing performance, making the company’s partnership with HPE a no brainer. To highlight the power of this duo, HPE quite literally *drove* engagement.
Why watch Formula 1 racing when you can experience it for yourself? Thanks to our Virtual Racing Chairs, HPE team members had the chance to get in on the action. Featuring high-res graphics and realistic steering controls, team members raced against one another for a chance to rank on the leaderboard. Adding to the experience, chairs and gaming graphics were branded with sponsorship logos including Red Bull, Honda, Oracle and more. Spectators became part of the ride as they watched the race via external monitors.
When it comes to racing, reaction time is everything. Team members put their hand-eye coordination to the test with our custom Batak Pro, acting as a driver reaction training game. To play, participants hit 12 randomly Illuminating targets as fast as they could in a limited timeframe. Once time’s up, players received a score based on their reaction time.
To generate buzz for In Her Element, a platform supporting women in STEM, HPE encouraged team members to pose for our Infinite Photo Booth with an eye-catching backdrop and photo props. Featuring a sleek kiosk, small footprint and double-sided display, the photo station allowed guests to spread the word with instant emailing, texting, and uploading to social media via the booth’s touchscreen.
Mini golf anyone? Team members, guests and clients put their putting skills to the test in this classic outdoor game.
