When a franchise hits reset, it’s not just about what’s happening on the ice. It’s about how fans feel the shift the moment they walk in. For the San Jose Sharks, the Teal Reimagination event was exactly that—an open invitation for fans to step into what’s next.
The goal was simple. Don’t just tell the story. Let fans experience it.
From Stands to Center Ice
We brought that vision to life with our Ultimate Sports Arena, turning spectators into active participants the moment they stepped in. Fans weren’t just watching hockey—they were suddenly in it, taking shots in a simulated shootout against a virtual goalie.
With custom banner integration and in-game graphics layered throughout, every interaction reinforced the Sharks’ evolving identity. It created a natural flow of competition, drawing people in, holding their attention, and giving them a reason to stay engaged longer. The experience wasn’t just about gameplay—it was about placing fans directly inside the energy of the rink.
Capturing the Energy in Motion
To complement the action, we introduced our Glambot, giving fans a completely different way to engage with the moment. This is where the energy turned cinematic.
Fans stepped up, struck their best poses—including plenty of Shark Chomps—and walked away with high-speed, slow-motion clips that felt polished and intentional. It gave them something worth sharing, extending the reach of the event far beyond the venue itself. Instead of passive memories, they left with content that looked and felt like part of the brand.
Designed for Participation, Built for Reach
What made the experience work was the balance. One side pulled fans into competition, the other turned them into content creators.
The Ultimate Sports Arena created movement, momentum, and repeat engagement. The Glambot captured that energy and translated it into shareable moments. Together, they built a loop of participation and visibility—where fans moved seamlessly from playing to posting.
More Than a Rebrand
Teal Reimagination wasn’t just about unveiling something new. It was about making fans feel like they were part of the shift.
By giving attendees the chance to step onto the rink and into the spotlight, we helped transform the event into something more immersive, more personal, and ultimately more memorable. When fans don’t just see a new era but actively engage with it, the connection runs deeper—and lasts longer.
The San Jose Sharks have built one of the most recognizable identities in hockey, with their signature teal and fiercely loyal fan base setting the tone at SAP Center. Known for their high-energy atmosphere and deep community connection, the Sharks continue to evolve how they engage fans—both on and off the ice—leaning into experiences that bring supporters closer to the action and the brand.
The Teal Reimagination event marked a pivotal moment for the franchise—a reintroduction of the Sharks’ identity through immersive, fan-first experiences. Designed to go beyond a traditional announcement, the event invited attendees to actively step into the brand’s next chapter, blending storytelling with interaction to create a launch that felt less like a reveal and more like a shared experience.
