2 Immersive Virtual Team Building Experiences

June 2, 2021

With work from home continuing into the warmer months, employee engagement is important now more than ever.

Whether your team is looking to reconnect or get to know each other in the first place, virtual team building provides participants with a collective experience that the typical video conference often lacks. Employees look to these activities as a way to disconnect from the chaos of the workday and plug into something both unfamiliar and exciting.

Beyond strengthening coworker relationships, virtual team building can provide organizations with a variety of long-term benefits. If done properly on a regular basis, these activities can increase employee retention, motivation, and productivity in the long run.

Want to maximize these benefits? Check out two virtual experiences designed with your team’s goals in mind:

BANK HEIST ESCAPE EXPERIENCE

Calling all thrill-seekers! Put your organization’s team-building skills to the test in an exhilarating, story-driven bank heist with a philanthropic twist. Unlike other virtual escape rooms out there, players are transported from their remote workspace into a fully immersive experience, allowing them to explore and interact with the virtual environment in 360 degrees.

From challenging puzzles to adrenaline-pumping mini-games, participants must work together to unlock the vault and collect as much cash as possible before cops arrive at the scene. Once the session ends, a leaderboard will indicate which players received the most cash.

Not only does the high-stakes situation encourage team communication, but it also allows individual players to stimulate their minds in unexpected ways, leaving them motivated to conquer their professional goals.

SOCIAL HOUR

Reimagine after-work happy hour with this pub-themed virtual event, featuring a variety of lighthearted mini-games built directly into the platform. Once participants are split into small groups, they will go head-to-head in Fun Fact Matching, Pub Trivia, Buzz-In Challenges, and Pictionary.

Unlike your average virtual event, the interactive platform enables players to perform all actions entirely within the software. Reinforcing the team-building aspect, players will huddle privately with their group and take turns as team captains. Not only does this allow coworkers to connect on a deeper level, but it also breaks down hierarchical barriers across roles and departments.

To keep things competitive, a live leaderboard will appear after each mini-game. At the end of the session, all participants will unite to customize their own photo booth memento.
